Description
At MAX IV, azimuthal integration is a key step in transforming detector data into scientifically usable one- and two-dimensional datasets. To support both real-time feedback during experiments and reproducible post-processing, we have developed integrated workflows operating in both online and offline environments.
Central to this work are the application definitions NXazint1d and NXazint2d, recently accepted by the NeXus community. These definitions provide a standardized structure for storing azimuthally integrated data together with the metadata required for interpretation, ensuring interoperability and long-term usability.
The pipelines produce data compliant with these definitions, enabling a consistent transition between live analysis and post-experiment processing. To facilitate adoption, we also provide a Python package for writing data in this format, simplifying integration into existing analysis workflows.
