How to get an Indico Account and howto login with Helmholtz ID
How to get Indico Accounts
First time you login into Indico, it will create an account for you, based on the data provided by the Identity Provider (IdP) you use. Actual you can use two login methods. The first one is titled "Login with XFEL-Account" for all XFEL employees. Our LDAP server is here the IdP and provides Indico with your first and last name, email address, and affiliation with a workgroup for the creation of the Indico account. All other people have to choose the second login method called "Helmholtz ID". Helmholtz ID serves here as an IdP Proxy through which thousands of IdPs from other institutes, universities, and organizations, such as ORCID, GitHub, and Google, are connected and can be used for logging in. The link below shows an example of how to log in with an ORCID account.
